Two kittens that were saved from a parking lot are inseparable and never leave each other’s sides while they adjust to their new environment.

In times of hardship, these two feline sisters know that they can depend on each other.

Cookies and Cream (or “CC”) and Caramel (or “Cara”) are two bonded kittens who have been through a lot together.

They were dumped in a parking lot together with four of their siblings when they were just babies but were luckily found by a passer-by who brought them to the attention of Sparkle Cat Rescue.

The rescue organisation quickly stepped in and rescued the abandoned kittens, but CC’s and Cara’s struggles were not over yet.

Sarah Kelly, a rescue volunteer, agreed to foster the kittens until they were ready to be adopted.

Kelly gave the kittens all the love, care and safety they needed, and did her best to help them grow strong, confident and happy.

Though all the siblings loved each other, it was clear that CC and Cara shared a very special bond.

According to Love Meow, they were “never far from each other.”

The two sisters were practically glued together, and their love for each other was amazing to watch.

They’d gotten through their scary and confusing start in life by clinging to each other, and now they were bonded for life.

Kelly knew that there was no way she could separate them and that they would have to find a forever home that would take them both.

Unfortunately, it’s harder for bonded pairs to be adopted, as many people are reluctant to adopt more than one cat at a time.

And when the kittens were old and strong enough to be adopted, CC’s and Cara’s siblings quickly found their perfect homes, while CC and Cara were left behind.

Days, weeks, and months passed without change.

CC and Cara loved their foster home but longed to find that perfect family they would spend the rest of their lives with.

But though it was heartbreaking to see younger kittens come and go, as they themselves grew into teens, they could always seek comfort in each other.

They loved to cuddle up together and give each other sweet little kisses, and they knew that as long as they were together they would always find a way to be happy.

The rescue did everything they could to find the girls a good home. They posted about them on social media several times and sang their praises, but for some reason, nobody seemed to want the two sisters.

Until, one day, everything finally fell into place.

After spending nearly a year in foster care, the wonderful day finally arrived; CC and Cara were discovered by their perfect forever family.

In early July, Kelly broke the news on her Instagram and was ecstatic to reveal that the sweet sisters had finally found a home.

“[W]e just always KNEW that they had a furrrever family out there,” Kelly wrote in her post and also said that when they heard from CC’s and Cara’s new mom and dad they “knew it was fate.”

It’s been a long road for these two kitties, but finally, everything is falling into place.

CC and Cara have a wonderful life ahead of them and will always be surrounded by an abundance of love.

Everyone is so happy that CC and Cara finally got their happy ending together.
